Public art installation in the Delridge neighborhood of Seattle. Often, with our daily commutes, the incredible greenery that defines the PNW falls to the background. My intention was to encourage passer-bys to notice the beautiful evergreens that surround us everyday using shocks of color worked into the environment. In this case, a large weaving in a neighbors bamboo forest.

Attempting to 'draw' a straight line across a pine tree. Part of a multi-part installation in Seattle's Delridge neighborhood. A temporary piece aimed at drawing attention to the everyday greenery that makes up Seattle. Often in our daily commute, evergreens fall to the background.

Part of a series of stuffed bears I have been working on. My aim is to show all the 'stuffing' beneath a clean perfect exterior. Playing with messy, honest, imperfect and non-traditional forms that still resonate and remind the viewer of a childhood comfort toy.

Hand dyed and woven wool blanket. My inspiration was a recluse I lived near who filled his windows with paper back books. The stripe pattern made from varying yellows and golds of the pages was beautiful.
Indian restaurant interior I designed in the historic Pioneer Square district in Seattle, WA. I divided the upper area with traditional Arabic patterned screens. Salvaged table tops, brass details, custom lights and a refined minimal aesthetic with subtle Indian cues allow the customer to focus mainly on the food presentation.

A line of technical bags designed for salt water sport fishing. Sealed seams, TPU coated fabrics, salt corrosive resistant zippers and pulls, EVA molded bases and hypalon abrasion points define this collection. Gave the brand iconic colors, webbing details, hangtag collateral, silhouettes and features to stand apart from their competition.
Designed and drove product look, function and assortment. This collection pays tribute to Seattle's Public Market and Puget Sound waters. Often floral prints in bicycle and outdoor industries are flat or cutesy. I wanted to bring in beautiful sophisticated florals with local references. I chose kale, cabbage, radishes, city maps, dahlias, peonies, honey bees and an octopus for elements that represent the area. Both patterns are hand drawn and watercolored by an insanely talented local illustrator. Fabrics are coated or waxed to repel the Pacific Northwest year round weather. Interior lining is a bright tonal map of Seattle with a glitter reflective decal (see the banana?) This was to make you smile whenever you reached in your bag. All bags attach to a bicycle, are wearable when off bicycle and have 360 degree reflectivity for visibility.
This line is functional, attractive and unique to the bicycling market. It embodies the inclusive and individualistic spirit of the Detours brand.
